Cafe Indigo, now open in Davenport, Iowa is a partnership between the husband and wife team of Tammie and Andy Gruenhagen. They are both firm supporters of the growth and development of the Quad City area, and felt that there was no other place to start there business or raise there family.
Café Indigo is a coffee shop, bakery, deli and more. We strive to provide quick, convenient service and made-from-scratch items in a warm, relaxing environment.

Tammie Gruenhagen
has lived in the Quad City community for more than 24 years. She has worked in the food and beverage industry for nearly two decades. She graduated from North High School in 1989, and completed several college courses in Culinary Arts. Tammie has a background in both cooking and restaurant management.
Andrew Gruenhagen was born and raised in Bettendorf. After graduating from Bettendorf High School in 1996, he moved to Des Moines to attend Des Moines Area Community College to pursue degrees in Culinary Arts and Hotel/Restaurant Management. Upon graduation, he moved back to the Quad Cities to begin his career.

Our Facility

The Café features a warm, inviting Mediterranean décor with enough seating to comfortably accommodate up to 40 guests. As a courtesy, we also provide complimentary high speed wireless access to our customers in order to help keep them in touch with the outside world.

The Indigo Room is a private dining room that will accommodate up to 20 people for special events, private dinners, parties, pharmaceutical groups and business meetings. Special menus can be prepared to accommodate any budget and occasion. When not in use, the Indigo Room will be utilized for additional seating for the café.


The Patio
features sturdy iron tables and chairs complimented with our signature umbrellas that will line the north corner of Coventry Place. Large terracotta planters with an array of seasonal foliage will bring a garden feel to the café. With seating for up to 20 guests, this open area will be a hot spot during the spring, summer and fall season.
